Visit Someone in Detention
One of the most meaningful ways to end isolation is to visit someone in detention.
KWESI offers informal training that introduces new visitors to Mesa Verde’s rules and shares best practices for accompaniment. New visitors are also partnered with an experienced volunteer who can guide and support them throughout the visitation process.

Write Letters to Migrants
Many of the immigrants we accompany have little or no contact with the outside world. This isolation can cause feelings of loneliness, fear, and abandonment.
Cards and letters remind people in detention that they have not been forgotten. It is a simple act that can make a meaningful difference. You may write one letter or several—every message is greatly appreciated.
